Robin Bird III by Oaken-shield Robin Bird III by Oaken-shield
Again, a robin bird! ;p

It's perhaps the same robin on this shot:

However, the lens is better here: Canon EF 100mm Macro f/2.8L!

Aaaaah! It's so cute~!

I love the way you photographed this small bird. On a personal level, I come from a place where it almost never snows (I've only seen snow, what, three times in my life?), so when I saw this photograph I thought the snow was absolutely beautiful. And this little robin, though not the most showy bird when it comes to colors, is not only cute but also precious in its own way. Everything in the landscape is probably barren, judging by the tree branches. Most life has gone into hibernation or has migrated to warmer places, so there's not much to be found other than snow. But getting to find the robin amidst all that winter weather still shows any person that sees it that there are nicer things to come, because this tiny creature is still there and lasting. Sounds a little silly, but that's the way I feel when I look at this photograph. ^U^

Overall, I'd say the execution was wonderful! I don't know how long it took you to photograph this because birds usually fly away if humans get too close, so I applaud your patience.

Lovely job! ;D

Hi, thank you so much for this nice & detailed comment! I appreciate it!

It wasn't so hard for me to take this shot because it was simply through a window glass! :D The robin hasn't seen me... :aww:
